Light Scarves for Spring

On the nights I have to endure Swamp Loggers, Deadliest Warriors and Top Shot (my husband and son's favorite tv) I get out the yarn and crochet.
I've got about 8 projects going...a sweater (my first), a folded shawl (my first) a loose cardigan (ran out of a necessary color), crocheted earrings and pendants (bunches of those that I can't decide how to finish) and this new light and airy scarf with one of my ceramic buttons.

I have to say....I love these...they just complete many of the outfit's I'm wearing....I tend to wear a lot of browns, blues and blacks...as I am always cooking, designing, gardening, cleaning...you get the picture ~  my daughter, Alexis throws one on as she's rushing out the door for school...so I feel like I've done something acceptable in the "teen world".. Woo hoo...this is an amazing accomplishment!

So let me know what you think....I'll be adding this new scarf line to my Etsy site soon and in my new Artisan Market here in downtown Muncy. (this is a secret...shhh)

Crochety...no just crocheting!

If you've been following my blog, you know that I've been knitting and crocheting throughout fall and winter..I also love to make jewelry...so as I meander through Etsy, I come across the most amazing thing...crocheted jewelry that is really cool! Not your great grandmother cool....stylish and fashionably cool!
First I'll show you my version...then I'll share the the folks that inspired me~
I have tons of ribbon and yarn as I am a fabric & textile junkie!  I also have a bead store amount of beads...The perfect setup for a creative storm!

I've made a few crocheted keys and they got scooped right up!  I haven't posted yet on Etsy, but I will have some by next week!  So I'm curious what you all think...next step is to work in my clay and metal somehow....any ideas??? Anyone???

Ok now to the professionals.....Here are a few sites to enjoy in the crocheted jewelry world! Enjoy!

Completed Crochet Projects

Just wanted to share a few projects I've been working on in the evenings.  I'm heading out to make a few accents for the bag out of clay...maybe a cluster of beads and some buttons for the handle connects.  I love my fingerless gloves! Great to work my phone and driving.

Below I dressed up a boring pair of boots with crocheted flowers, fringed edging and ceramic bead clusters.

Enough playing...time to get back to jewelry....today's plan.....HEARTS & Spring.....Valentines Day is just around the corner!

I've Been A Yarnen Fool

Here's a cool headband I made for my daughter Alexis last night...She went through my boxes of yarn and picked out the colors.  It was really fun and the flowers were totally easy!  I even got to incorporate one of my favorite olive glazed buttons!  Guess I'll be knitting & crocheting the rest of winter...I have some super cool scarf concepts I've been playing with....I'll show you as soon as I finish them...sometimes I need to put them down and just play around with it in my head a while....I really want to add my clay buttons and charms in an unusual way! Any suggestions?  What do you think of the headband...I'm thinking... I would like to add some leather somehow...just not sure how! Please share your thoughts~
