Button Swap Blog Hop

Button Swap Blog Hop

In March I received my wonderful buttons for this swap from Lori Anderson aka Prettythings ~ Wow it was difficult to decide from the mother of pearl , wood, tortoise or two beauties from Lisa Peters...Lori mentioned in our conversation that she loved her mother of pearl buttons the most...so with that in mind....I pulled out my copper...hammered and shaped...buffed and patinated... Not really sure where I was going with it....so to reveal....drum roll please.......

My Copper & Patina Kite Necklace
Button Goodness from Lori
Look what Lori made with my Copper etched button!  Love, love, love it!

My swap buttons & beads...in raku and copper

Flying my kite!

So somehow my mind translated this into a kite....guess I've been dreaming of blue skies and clouds.
I finally got to fly my kite today...First sun in weeks!
I love all the choices she sent me....now to decide what to make next!
Thanks Lori!
I also want to thank Michelle Mach for coordinating this event~
Looking forward to the next!

WOW, Melinda, I'm blown away (ha, blown away, kite, see what I did there?). I would never have thought of this, and you did an utterly amazing job.

I stole your photo of the buttons you sent me and put it on my blog so people could see what you sent -- if you saw my desk right now you'd understand why I can't find anything, and being under-the-weather, I'll be lucky if I can dig out for a while.

Thank you so much for being so generous in your giving!
