New Prototype Leather and Raku Bracelet

Here is a new concept I've been thinking of....Raku clay ends for leather...The color on these really turned out terrific...Georgies Copper Flash...and the pieces were a perfect fit for the soft yellow leather.  However when wrapping the copper to connect to the bracelet, one of the ends broke on the finding.  Next time I'll try softer wire or cord to connect. I'll also try some ^6 pieces for a little more strength.   Overall, I'm thrilled & think I have a new concept piece that will draw some interest in the jewelry making world...these ends could be used as focals with beaded wire as well. Next week I'll continue working out the bugs and work on some quantities for up coming shows and my website.  I'm curious what you all think...please share your thoughts!

Leather Bracelets are HOT for Fall!

Leather has been selling like crazy!  Here are a few of my newest pieces.  Pottery Raku and etched copper

make for some terrific pieces.  Just starting out with my leather look and very pleased at the results.  The etched metal, pottery clay and leather really go together in a comfy way. The bracelets are made of suede leather and feel great on.  Did you know I can etch just about anything that can be written or drawn with a sharpie.  Maybe you have some special words you would like to wear.....let me show you what I can come up with! Recycled Ceramic Beaded Stretch Bracelets

I've had these Initial bracelets laying around....left overs from my store.  I've wanted to recycle these for a while now!  Adding my handmade raku cabochons, they turned out pretty cool... They look terrific  layered with 2 or 3.  Now there are ideas of taking this to a new level....With ton's of beads from my bead store...time to incorporate those with my pottery and metal designs.

I'll be taking these along with me to the Danville Arts & Craft Fair this Saturday..9-5pm in Danville, PA.  I'll be right by BJ's Ribs!  Looking forward to lunch..Stop down and see my new autumn/winter display!

New Raku Out!

Trying out some new stamps a friend let me borrow...some are stamps and some are molds I've made from everyday items around the house Raku firing in my mini kiln and then into the Dutch Oven.... Love the new colors I'm getting! Looking forward to getting my glass out and adding melted glass to my ceramics...Stay tuned!

A few finished pieces available at our corn stand on Clarkstown Rd in Muncy, PA. Earrings, Necklaces, Bracelet and Keychains. I'll be adding more pieces as room permits. Lots of pottery pieces and unique garden designs there too.

I just put together the jewelry card as well. I'm pleased with the results!

I've been working on my jewelry designs these days. Trying to come up with new chain & cording ideas. Here's a raku necklace completed with brown Greek Leather and handcrafted hammered copper clasp. it really looks great on! Great color and tone for this upcoming fall season~

Just out of the kiln! An ornament for the holidays or a just to hang around! The colors are wonderful. I'm so excited to give these as a gift tonight as an anniversary present. Hope they like them!
