Kristi Bowman Copper Component Reveal ~

Today is the reveal for the ammonite copper component from Kristi Bowman Designs ~
I have used many of her components in my finished jewelry designs last year.
This particular piece is slightly larger than a quarter.
It comes with a rainbow effect on the finish ~
I thought about this for a few weeks before I got started....
and thought it would make a wonderful bracelet...
Marti Conrad had sent me some little speckled clay links a few weeks back,
when she sent the focal I used for my CAB 52 Project...
and they were a perfect fit.
So I got to work and created the bracelet.....
I was thrilled with this piece....
but kept thinking this would also make a great necklace with a few additions ~
I received a message from Kristi. this week ..asking if we were all creating bracelets....
That's when I knew, I should go with my feelings and add the links, etc....
I'm so glad I did!
Some brown pearls wire wrapped with Copper beads,
some of my textured large ovals with handmade links
& assorted wire wrapped beads
Voila....a beautiful rustic necklace ~

Thank you Kristi....what a wonderful component to design with ~
Stop by Kristi's Etsy site and get a few of these beauties for yourself!
I hope you'll visit the other participants in this reveal ~
A wonderful group of designers &
so fun to see how we each decided to design around it.

Love, love what you did. The necklace was a wonderful idea. I never would have thought of putting a link around Kristi's link - not in a million years. Marti's links are a great addition. Just beautiful.

It's a gorgeous piece and looks like something an Aztec Maiden would have worn! I'm glad you decided to make it a necklace, though the bracelet was beautiful too.

I really dig the colors you used with the copper piece. I would not have imagined blue and brown working so well with the copper, but you definitely made it work, and work well!! It really is great as a necklace, though I'm sure it was just as beautiful as a bracelet also!

I never would have thought to use this component in a necklace, so I'm glad you did, Melinda. That's why these hops are so fun! I love seeing everyone's unique vision. I really like the way you wire wrapped the pearls. Very cool!

I love this piece. Bracelet or necklace it turned out great. The chunkiness and rustic look to it really draws me in. And those clay connectors are wonderful. Great piece.
